Tom Brady and the Patriots win a heart-stopping Super Bowl XLIX
After giving up an arm and a leg for the most expensive Super Bowl tickets in history, the 1 percent poured into Glendale, Arizona for Super Bowl XLIX. The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks both had an intense week of preparation.
The Patriots were the first on the board with Tom Brady hitting Brandon LeFell for an 11-yard touchdown strike. The Seahawks answered right back with Marshawn Lynch punching one in from the 2-yard line. Brady then connected with Rob Gronkowski to put New England back up 14-7.
Just before the half, Wilson threw a bullet to big man Chris Matthews to tie it up. Then Missy Elliott Katy Perry performed at halftime. The Seahawks came out strong in the second half to go up 24-14.
It looked like the Seahawks were on their way to a second ring. Even the refs were helping Seattle out, but then Brady, with the help of Edelman, stormed back in the fourth quarter to take the lead 28-24.
But then instead of running with Lynch, Wilson coughed it up and gave Malcolm Butler the interception of the game. Congratulations to the 2015 New England Patriots.
