Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots set to go in Super Balls XLIX
After a hilarious week of ball to ball coverage on nothing but New England’s small, deflated balls, the Patriots and Seahawks finally arrived in Glendale, Arizona for Super Bowl XLIX.
Both teams have been getting ready for the biggest game of the year. The NFC champion Seattle Seahawks will meet the AFC champion New England Patriots in a game that pits Russell Wilson and Seattle’s high-powered offense against Tom Brady and the Patriots.
The Patriots have one of the best postseason quarterbacks of all time in Brady. Wide receivers Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell have played well, but comeback player of the year Rob Gronkowski has been Brady’s favorite target this year. Running back LeGarrette Blount has been a workhorse in the backfield.
If Russell Wilson can just start passing to players on his own team, wide receivers Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse will do some damage. Expect running back Marshawn Lynch to be in full on beast-mode, that is, unless he gets McCringleberried by the refs.
Defensively for Seattle, cornerback Richard Sherman and the Legion of Boom will need their A-game against Brady’s balls, while New England cornerback Darrelle Revis might have some fun with Wilson’s balls.
Will NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell be over at Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s house again talking about how rich they both are? Or will the reigning Super Bowl champs become the first back-to-back winners in a decade?
