Kanye West has epic meltdown over SNL stage in leaked audio
NEW YORK — Kanye West had an epic meltdown on Saturday Night Live, threatening to walk off during a live broadcast of the show, all because the floor wasn't shiny enough, according to a Page Six report.
Kanye is fairly well known for his insane rants and oddball proclamations. From cutting off Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs to deeming himself Shakespeare, the rapper's ego is well known for its batty, self-worshipping antics.
His most recent tirade happened backstage on SNL, where he reportedly threw a tantrum after staffers had to get rid of the shiny flooring on his stage. Page Six obtained an audio recording of the star's rant, where he is heard yelling and cursing, even calling Taylor Swift fake:
"Now I ain't gonna do this, we breaking the motherf!cking internet. I went through six years of this f**king sh!t. Let's get to it, bro...let's get to it, bro!"
The hotheaded artist went on to proclaim how he's more influential than most other famous people, declaring that he's fifty percent more influential than filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, the apostle Paul, painter Pablo Picasso, and even deceased Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
SNL boss Lorne Michaels reportedly had to reason with Kanye to stop him from leaving, eventually getting the rapper to stay for his performance.
